The sun touches the sea
Caressing with rays of light
The breeze floats over the sea
To cuddle the child
The sea giggles with waves of joy
Looks around for her toys
Washing the shore, singing her song
Finds her toys, the family of stones
Rolling over towards the sand
The sea calls back, again and again
Back and forth, the stones sway
Making the music of joy and play
The wind joins the sea, sings along
Nature’s harmonious cheerful song
Stronger than ever the wind blows
When the sun peeks through the clouds
Drums roll for a thunder call
The song is joined by a calm rainfall
With moments of joy, grace, and glory
Nature’s heart beats in harmony

A note to the reader: The very first version of this poem (Nature’s Moment) was written by me on July 10th, 2020, as an exercise during a poetry class. I revisited those poems towards the end of 2023 and decided to work on them gradually as I feel inspired and finalize them until they sound music to my ears.
NATURE’S MOMENT
The sun touches the sea
As if caressing her child
The breeze floats over the sea
To cuddle that child
The child responds by little smiles
Giggling to show her joy
This is how the sea responds
To the sun and the breeze
By washing the shores
To reach out to her toys, the family of stones
Rolling them over towards the sand
And calling them back, again
Back and forth, and again and again, the stones start
To play their music of joy
The harmony of nature celebrating the moment
