Do you ever wonder why we leave a light on when darkness falls? It is reassuring when you are coming home and see the glow. As a child, I associated it with warmth, comfort, a hot meal, and a soft bed.
Mom called me her wayward son and told me she would always leave a light on and keep a place set at the table for me. I guess home is always a light in the darkness, a safe haven for the night.
Larry, there are no accolades that I feel would be strong enough to express how I feel about your writing.
Your friendship says it all
The light shines on all of us when we look for it, and in the darkness, the light is there if we look for it. Loved this. Thanks Larry
Thank you for your kind words and inspiring insight
Larry, yesterday I learned your Dad was a philosopher. Today I learned you’re a poet.
Thank you for this beautiful evocation.
Thank you Mark.
