Stroll Around George Square
Start your weekend by soaking in the grandeur of George Square, the heart of Glasgow. Surrounded by impressive Victorian-style architecture, including the City Chambers, this iconic spot often hosts festivals, markets, and public gatherings. Stop for a coffee at one of the nearby cafés and watch the city come alive around you.
Insider Tip: Visit early in the morning for quiet, crowd-free photos and time to admire the surrounding statues at your own pace.
The University of Glasgow
Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is one of the oldest universities in Europe. Its Hogwarts-like campus is a dream for photography enthusiasts, with impressive cloisters and detailed Gothic Revival architecture.
Indulge in Delicious Scottish Cuisine
No trip to Glasgow would be complete without trying some traditional Scottish dishes. Sample haggis (a savory pudding made of sheep’s heart, liver, and lungs), neeps and tatties (turnips and potatoes), or black pudding (blood sausage). Wash it all down with a pint of locally brewed craft beer or a dram of whisky.
