The switch to remote work has been of the biggest changes and challenges for many Americans during the COVID-19 pandemic. Our daily routines have been disrupted, some temporarily some forever. But which changes will have the most lasting impact on the American workforce? Advanced Dermatology recently surveyed 2,022 Americans to learn more about their daily routines and how their approach to remote work has impacted their daily lives. They found that 77% of respondents said they’ve noticed other people presenting themselves more casually during remote work. 61% of surveyed respondents say they feel less pressure to be presentable via remote work.
When asked how daily routines have become more low-maintenance, these were the top responses: 1. Less time on outfits 2. Less time on hair 3. Less time on make-up 4. Less shaving 5. Less showering 6. Less time on skincare 7. Less time brushing teeth. When asked how Americans are using their time not commuting because of remote work, these are the top responses: 1. More sleep 2. More screen time 3. More chores 4. More work 5. More time on hobbies.
